Kimberly Best, RN, MA brings a unique blend of healthcare and conflict resolution expertise to this program. With over 20 years of nursing experience, including roles in Emergency Department and Intensive Care, Kim understands firsthand the complexities of healthcare conflicts and how to navigate them effectively. As both a Registered Nurse and professional mediator with graduate education in Psychology and Conflict Management, she specializes in healthcare dispute resolution. Kim serves on the Executive Committee of the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and is the Immediate Past-President of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. Kim's approach combines evidence-based strategies with real-world experience, helping healthcare professionals transform workplace challenges into opportunities for improved patient care and team collaboration.   Her specialized training includes Healthcare Mediation from the University of South Florida and advanced negotiation studies at Harvard Law School.  She is the author of  "How to Live Forever: A Guide to Writing the Final Chapter of Your Life Story."

Module 5.  Develop practical skills for having challenging discussions, managing team tensions, addressing interdisciplinary conflicts, and maintaining professional relationships.  Module 6.  Write your personal "why".  Know strategies to maintain professional behavior and patient safety during active workplace conflicts. Module 7.  Explore effective communication strategies when and why developing them is essential.
